Education and health respondents were asked questions about how they monitored the delivery of guidance and sexual health services to adolescents. Most education ministries, school districts and school principals said that they monitored the number of students who received information or counseling on sexual health issues from guidance counselors.

Education ministries were also asked if they reported publicly on the number of students receiving sexual health information and services. Very few education ministries reported that they reported such data as part of their annual or periodic reports; about one-third do not see this as their role.

Public health authorities were asked if and how they monitored the delivery of sexual preventive health services. A minority of health ministries and public health units reported that they monitored the delivery of these services through regular surveys; higher percentages reported that they did this by requiring reports from public health units.
