Accountability - Monitoring Public Support for HIV Prevention
8.1.24 Accountability - Monitoring Public Support for HIV Prevention
Health ministries and public health units were asked if they monitored public opinion about support for HIV/STD prevention and sexual health promotion by including questions in surveys commissioned by the government or health unit. About 4/10 of health ministries and very few public health units reported that they did so:

A minority of health respondents also reported that they regularly published reports to the general public via the media to encourage public support for HIV/STD prevention. However, about one-third said that they had done so in the past.
