8.3.10 Sustained Support - Educator Use of Referrals

Teachers were asked how often they refer students to other professionals for sexuality information. On a nine point scale, where one was "very often" and nine "never", the mean response was 4.9. This indicates that teachers are making these referrals on an average basis.

School principals were also asked if they reviewed the number and nature of the student health problems with guidance counselors. About two-thirds said that they do so regularly.
