8.4.4 Ongoing Activities - Regular Reports to the Public
Health and education respondents were asked two questions about their general support for implementing HIV/sexuality education and creating public awareness of the value and importance of it. Both systems were asked if any reference to HIV/sexuality had been made in news releases or annual reports of their organizations. The responses from the public health systems show that about half issued news releases on HIV/sexuality in the last year and a majority included references to HIV/sexuality in their annual reports. Less than 20% of education respondents at all three levels reported that they had included HIV or sexuality in such news releases or annual reports.
